Choices...

At the end of the month I will have around 190$ I've been thinking about several things I kinda want to get, but I can't decided which to get or if they're worth it at all. I'm trying to decided between audio recording equipment or LP recording equipment. And within that I can get pretty good quality LP recording stuff or cheep out bit.

Thus I turn to the internet because I can. I currently have no way of recording consoles but I can easily record N64 stuff with fraps and Gameboy stuff with the built in recorder. So in all reality I have what I need. Same with audio recording, I have what I need:
On Stage Stands 7701B Tripod Boom Microphone Stand
Nady MPF-6 6-Inch Clamp On Microphone Pop Filter
On Stage MY200 Universal Microphone Clip
Guitar Hero Microphone

I'll start with the list of audio recording stuff I'd like to get. In all it will cost approximately 127$. What I have in honestly good enough so I don't see why I would need this other than I want it sentiment.

Behringer Xenyx 802 Premium 8-Input 2-Bus Mixer with Xenyx Mic Preamps and British EQs ~ 60$
Behringer C-1 Studio Condenser Microphone ~ 41$
CBI Low Z XLR Microphone Cable, 20 Foot ~ 7 $
2x Hosa CMP159 Stereo 1/8In M to Two 1/4 Mono M 10 Ft ~ 7$ each
2x Belkin F8V235-12 12-Foot Y Audio Cable ~ 5$ each

Then the let's play stuff. I either do this for 97$ and get the best quality possible.

Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus ~ 45$
Composite RCA S-Video Stereo Audio Distribution Amplifier Splitter Amp ~30$
RiteAV RCA Stereo Audio Cable (6ft) ~ 3$
S-Video Cable 6 ft. Gold Plated ~ 3$
S-video/AV cable for PS2/PS3 Sony Playstation(gold plate) ~ 9$
RiteAV - Audio Video RCA Cable 6ft ~ 3$

Or do this for 54$ (I thought about cheeping out even more with an easycap but I've heard horrible things.)

Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus ~ 45$
3x RCA Splitter Male to Female ~ 3$ each

Or since don't really need these at all I can just save my money (damn you 3DS and new OOT). I really don't know what to decide.

  2. Dang. Well I saw it on Amazon for $40. It was actually the one you have "Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus" but its "Plus HD." I'm assuming its a sale right now.

  3. Nice man! I always think before I buy by asking myself "Will I still use this in a year?" It helps!

  6. NT4 is like the best mic out there, but it's beyond your budget.
If I were you, I'd save up.
    Good luck.

  7. I'd save on the audio stuff, if what you have is suitable. For cables & cheap miscellaneous stuff, you can save a couple bucks if you order off eBay or Alibaba - if you don't mind waiting a little longer, the Asian stuff is a good deal.

  9. Wait.. what would you want to record?
What instruments? What kind of music?
And what kind of videos? Isn't there a free alternative for the Dazzle DVD stuff online?

  10. For now voice, until I learn more about playing and such, and then about how to use the equipment for electric instruments. I'd just use the mic to record anything acoustic when I learn to play that.

It's for recording console stuff. Like from the TV. So there is nothing online that can help me without the proper hook-ups, aka a dazzle.
